Sword Crochet Pattern

I wasn't too impressed with any of the Ravelry patterns for swords so I made my own.  Pattern is free and posted below!  Happy Crocheting!  Sword can be stuffed different ways.  You can stuff with cardboard before crocheting along sides, I stuffed with fluff since it's for a baby.

  3. Hi, I am a beginner at crocheting but so far I've done pretty good. I have crocheted crowns for my 3 granddaughters and now I need a sword for my grandson. I like this pattern but I have a question. In the beginning it says chain 7, next line says hdc in 6. Exactly what does that mean?

    1. I believe you do your first HDC in the second chain from the hook, not the first.
